News Headlines report elderly abuse, most every day. Gone are the moral values and our grandparents' generation. There was a time in a handshake or his word was all I needed to honor the commitments. Gone are the days in a house to unlock, open the windows or the back sitting alone.

Older people in society today may unfortunately encounter many traumatic events without proper cause. Many times, media communication tells of a boy who brutally beat their elderly parents, grandparents, strangers or elderly. Without any motivation, other than pursue what they want, the elderly can become their prey. And if you want something you have in your house, you could be their next victim.

Without Not all perpetrators are strangers, and the elderly can not be beaten, robbed, or brutally killed by the hands of a stranger. Sometimes the attacker is a family member, relative, or friend.

When elderly people are attacked or threatened, How can they protect themselves? Many have the strength or agility to fight or run. They may fall down the stairs, against the door jams, or being trapped in a wheelchair. Many times they do not understand what or why does this happen to them, because the person who hurts someone you trust.

Perhaps a friend or relative living in the home of the Aging to provide assistance and / or companions. This person can get angry because they do not want the responsibility of caring for an older person. You may feel as though their freedom has been taken from them. If the elderly person has adequate financing, which assumes that looks after the welfare of senior begins to feel he should be compensated or rewarded in excess.

An older person who refuses to give money or sign over your property, the risk of being violently attacked by a relative or friend. It could be an adult son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter, or friend. Most older people hesitate to report abuse of a family member or friend.
