Few Sicilian towns claimed greater antiquity of Gela, where the center of the American assault was to fall. Founded on a limestone hillock by Greek colonists from Rhodes and Crete in 688 bc, Gela had suffered from the usual Mediterranean calamities, including betrayal, pillage, and, in 311 bc, the butchery of five thousand citizens by a rival warlord. From medieval times until the mid-1800s, is believed to be caused disease and spread through air or a corruption of "miasma". This belief probably arose because of the bad smells associated with the disease and lack of common hygiene at the time. When it came to preventing or treating such diseases, lack of knowledge of modern science and medicine mean that people only beliefs and practices of their ancestors to tell. Although some of these, mainly based herbal remedies have already been proven effective (eg for stomach problems and wormwood pulmonaria for respiratory problems), most were totally ineffective when the Black Death swept Europe in the 1300s.

The most common form of plague was the Black Death plague, characterized by the appearance black color of buboes in the groin, neck and armpits, pus and blood coming out, along with fever, headache, joint pain, nausea and vomiting. Is highly contagious and usually fatal. Black Death was universally feared - it spread ferociously fast, and death can occur within a few hours of the onset of symptoms. Between 14 and 17 centuries, Europe underwent a series of pest attacks and the consequences are enormous. Between 1348 and 1350 alone, the Black Death is estimated to have killed between one and two thirds of the population of Europe.

The plague was associated with a characteristic odor - the enormous number of victims, along with rapid death rate and high associated with the plague that has resulted in an extremely strong odor. This reinforced in the minds of most people the idea that the disease was carried out in polluted air. Usually wooden fence posts around the United States down underground to a distance of 24 inches. When placed by the builder of the nearby average are put in with 80 pounds of cement, as footnotes to hold the post wood fence in place. Sometimes, for the average worker which in itself, this footer can range from 10 pounds to 120 pounds. I can remember clearly the thoughts rolling through my mind that there must be better how can I reach for the hammer. It's been 2 hours and I'm still in first place with 25 to go.

After searching and asking I found a good man who gave me wise advice, although good and solution to my problem. He asked if I had a fat shaft and at that moment I knew I was in a good story and more than likely that some wise counsel. He began to describe how often had to be done on a ranch that once was installed to maintain. He told me that of the thousands of wooden poles string a rail fence separating spread throughout the property, often the posts would fail.

This failure due to age and rot due to contact with the soil for long periods of time without a real drain accumulated water away from the elements. He said the snow initially beautiful winter was extremely difficult in the wood fence posts and really was the main reason for their deterioration.

He began to detail what and he was cautious in his method as soon noticed a wooden post could easily fly through the air and impale himself through the windshield of my truck. Thank God we do not have to remove the steel fence posts! His approach, along with the fat of the shaft started to make sense. Basically, he told me to take an old truck tire and grease up the middle. Then wrap a nice heavy quality chain of destination, with two wraps around the rim with the rim resting against the wooden pole with one end leading to the wheel or under the front of my truck.

The length coming off the top of the tire out of my truck would be to place the wooden fence and wrapped around the post as much as possible. The rim is quite narrow than ever of the string and then became a matter of rubbing or friction. The warning came to play like he said I should have some additional string to a draw and security outside the chain lateral wrap post. The addition of this security so that when the wooden pole starts to leave would not be able to travel and so far in my windshield

As crazy and dangerous, since it seems that it worked great and I could get the posts of the wooden fence and concrete with minimal effort. We have more and best 4x4 wooden posts more we come out. Sometimes the posts will be fired about 5 feet. I think maybe I had fun too, so much attention after so many years.

The New Men DKNY fragrance will debut in the UK in Selfridges on Oxford Street, with a series of promotion facilities are created by the retail experts Sheridan & Co. The launch begins in late February and will be in Selfridges for two weeks.

Sheridan & Co was appointed by the owner of the brand Estee Lauder Companies, after winning a 3-way contest to create the flagship of the launch promotion Store for DKNY MEN. Sheridan & Co will also create the promotional campaign to launch the fragrance in eight sites in Boots and Debenhams in the UK in March. The fragrance will launch in the UK in June.

Sheridan's creative team was inspired by unusual gray glass scent bottle color that is shaped like the iconic building in New York Flat Iron. The design echoes the angular shape of this building and references to the New York skyline appears in the package.

Sheridan has created four of DKNY promotion facilities that are key areas in Selfridges. The first is the set of four promotional shelves buyers see when they walk at the main entrance. This has a New York skyline in blue acrylic and displays the bottle and packaging.

The second is the Arch of Selfridges, the consultancy has dress. Each side has blue acrylic shelves insertion showing the fragrance. Under a plasma screen plays video promo.

The final development area is outside the Gordon Bar in the men's clothing department. A series of podiums and marketing units sits in front of a backdrop for promotional photography.
