Line Freshwater
The leader consists of a monofilament line, which has one end heavier end to connect to the line and a diluent, the narrowest part, known as the tip or tippet, which attaches to the fly. This leader intends to serve as an invisible link between the fly and the line and are less likely to deter fish line attached to the fly itself. It also accentuates the soft landing of the fly in the water.
A good leader must be thicker where joins the line and with a degree of rigidity. A leader of a limp or not to draw soft lines and therefore prevents proper presentation of the fly. The diameter of the end thinner, or cape, is varied and is chosen according to the conditions.
The strength of the team is completely dependent on the breakdown voltage of the cape, being the thinnest part of your platform. The size is usually used by a number and size of the letter X. Tippet also influences the distribution of the fly and a good balance is needed between the weight of the fly and the diameter and weight of the cape.
Two types of leader are available, with the nodes and the network without knots. The knotless netting is a single piece of tapered monofilament during manufacture, the type of knot is constructed using several pieces of knotted monofilament, the latter being the most popular due to its ability to deliver. The leaders are usually manufactured in lengths of 2.3 and 2.7 million.
Although it uses the number above mentioned and the X method of identifying leaders, the most common method of ordering is leaders cite the length and resistance to breakage. The length is important as a leader who is too short not to be presented correctly and make the suspect fish. The leader butt should be easy to connect to the line of the fly and usually consists of a loop. At the end of the day's catch is the leader most likely be much shorter than in the beginning. Always make sure that any knot or twist line is unraveling immediately.
Since the butt section is about two thirds the thickness of the line attached to a different leader for each line size. It is therefore necessary that the middle sections of the leader should vary in size. If the decline in leader is too large, most likely leading to the separation under the strain of a fish hooked.
