Shot Rod
Split-shotting has been around the fishing scene in one form or another since the beginning of putting a worm on a hook. However, it really became popular until the early 80 as a viable alternative means for submission of a plastic worm. The technique was developed formally by fisherman in Southern California under the name of Dick Trask. He developed the technique to compete in local team events in heavily pressured lakes of the OS. Cal His method worked so well that allowed him to be THE main threat in the water at all times. He won or placed in the event that almost all fished up his secret technique came to light. Since then, Split-Shotting Technique has become a mainstay in the tournament circuit in the west and in some other states.
