Flat Eye
Most have seen the difference between a good stick and a bad putter? Generally, we attribute the difference to mechanics. A good mechanic produces a good start. Mechanical Bad produces poorly positioned. At least that's what always emphasized thata IÂ've and taught in my golf lessons and golf tips.
However, investigations show that mechanics can not be the only difference between good and bad putters putters. According to Dr. Joan Vickers, University of Calgary, the difference may reside on how to use their eyes. The secret to good, he says, can use their eyes to detect the right information about distance and direction, and then use the mind to pass information to the rest of your body, so you can always sink the putt. The quiet eye, it is called, may someday help explain what it means to be "in the Zone "means, she says.
So what exactly is the calm eye? It as his gaze remains stationary on the ball just before and as the stroke is performed. There are two important aspects of this basic yet essential skill: location and duration. Which is better? Research shows that the average player can develop a calm eye. A quiet routine of the eyes in the straight, flat putts has the following characteristics, which can be learned through golf lessons, like any other skill.
 • Focus on the hole
As soon as you set your putter behind the ball, choose a specific location in
the hole where you want the ball go, like a blade of grass or a feature of small
on the front of the cup.
 •  "SEEA" the ball go in
Look at this place for about two seconds and see the ball go in the hole. Visualization is a technique to keep this procedure.
 • Scanning of the hole in the ball
Gently shift your gaze without interruption from the target to the back of the ball. Your gaze moves efficiently and calmly.
 • Eye on the ball
It looks at the back of the ball and just imagine the contact of head of the putter on the ball. Image of a line through this contact point to its place in the hole.
 • Stay constant

The idea of being in the zone, or "flow, a" has been around a long time. It when you absolutely canÂ't lose.
