OK, so we know that if anything about towing behind a game fishing boat in the South Pacific, eventually, a blue marlin is going to take a look and a walk.

That being said, most of us Dona't have the time nor the inclination to spend a week towing a pineapple wrapped in foil just to see what happens.

Over the years we have tried and tested a variety of lures and have established a productive enough margin that forms the basis of any hunting of blue marlin.

In general, start with the basics and then adjust it to match with conditions or exchanging one or more lures to cover all our bases, ie run lures that simulate the bait we believe that the needle are hunting.

• Pakula Rat - Pusher style with concave head - all positions, in general, short or long Corner - A lure with great track aggressive diving bubble
• Hollowpoint Cabo Killa - attracting face slices - Long Rigger - bubble path average good immitation a list

This expansion works well for us in Fiji and has represented for many blues. We, of course, have a great selection of lures others on board our ships gamefishing but we must start somewhere. We colors vary a bit throughout the year, according to this bait and are happy to have 'appeal applications' fishing guests, but as a starting point of the above have spread off on the right track.
